ZRX is the native token of the 0x protocol, a decentralised exchange protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain. The 0x protocol allows for the exchange of ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum network. ZRX is used as a governance token to facilitate community-driven upgrades and changes to the 0x protocol. Additionally, ZRX can be used to pay transaction fees for trading on the 0x exchange. The team behind 0x is based in the United States and the protocol was founded by Will Warren and Amir Bandeali in 2016.
